Douglas W. Cook, M.D. is a graduate of Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is a Board Certified Addictionist with The American Board of Addiction Medicine. He developed one of the largest and best known treatment centers in the country, Palmetto Addiction Recovery Center. He has over 30 years of experience in the field of addiction medicine and has helped thousands of individuals from all walks of life begin a new life of sobriety. He has appeared on A&E Network's show Intervention. His book Everything You Need to Know about Addiction... Before You Spend a Penny was published in 2015 and is available through Amazon.

Begin Recovery offers resources for local support in your community, useful information an addict needs as he attempts sobriety, and coaching from Dr. Douglas Cook.
